LA BANDANA
L’estate ormai è finita da un po’ ma ci ha lasciato dandoci dei primi segnali di quella che sarà la prossima, difatti, per quanto riguarda la moda, abbiamo già intravisto la nuova arrivata: LA BANDANA.
La bandana nasce in India ed era utilizzata per coprire la testa dei lavoratori sia dal sole che dalla polvere. Durante gli anni ha cambiato la sua funzione e con forme e materiali differenti è diventata
un simbolo identitario; divenne così parte dell’abbigliamento dei motociclisti, hippie e punk.
Dopo un bel periodo di stagno, quest’anno le case di moda hanno provato a spingere il prodotto
pubblicizzandolo molto ma senza aver avuto un grandissimo riscontro.
Per quanto mi riguarda può essere un ottimo accessorio di tendenza che puó essere indossato in svariati modi.
Il più classico, quindi metterla come una pezza sulla testa, può sembrare una scelta più da spiaggia ma vi assicuro che con un outfit predisposto, può essere veramente un tocco di classe.
Quello più pubblicizzato, invece, è al collo che però anche questo si può differenziare in due versioni:
– SPORTIVO: legata come i vecchi cowboy che può essere portata davanti (non tanto utilizzato) o girata al contrario come utilizzata per esempio nelle contrade.
– RIFINITO: (non lo chiamo Elegante poiché in realtà può essere portata anche con abbinamenti più casual). In questo caso la bandana verrà piegata più volte su stessa e, una volta messa al collo, legata con un fiocco stretto così da lasciare le estremità più lunghe.
Naturalmente il secondo è quello indossato maggiormente e, come vedrete anche nelle foto, può dare un tocco di unicità al nostro outfit.
Una terza opzione che ho valutato è stata quella di poterla legare a un passante del pantalone. Apparentemente può sembrare superfluo ma in realtà questa soluzione l’ho elaborata durante una creazione di un outfit con il quale ero in difficoltà a dare linearità di colore tra i capi e la calzatura. In quel momento ho pensato di poter riuscire ad abbinare il tutto scegliendo la bandana del solito colore del sabot che avrei indossato.
Sicuramente ci saranno tanti altri metodi per valorizzarla, ma quel che è certo, è che per utilizzarla dobbiamo avere uno stile più alternativo e predisposto alla stravaganza altrimenti risulterebbe di troppo.

Summer is over, but it left us with the first signs of what it’s ready to come. In fact, as far as fashion goes, we’ve already look at a new arrival: THE BANDANA.
The bandana has origin in India and it was used to cover workers’ heads from sun and dust. Over the years, its function has changed, and with different shapes and materials, it has become a symbol of identity; it became part of the clothing of bikers, hippies, and punks.
After a long anonymous period, fashion houses have tried to push the product this year,
publicizing it extensively, but without much success.
I think it can be a great trendy accessory that can be worn in a variety of ways.
The most classic, wearing it as a head wrap, may seem more of a beachy choice, but I assure you that with a well-chosen outfit, it can be a truly classy touch.
The most popular one, however, is around the neck, which also comes in two versions:
– SPORTY: tied like the old cowboys, it can be worn in front (not often used) or turned inside out, as is often done, for example, in the countryside.
– FINISHED (I don’t call it elegant because it can actually be worn with more casual outfits as well): In this case, the bandana is folded several times and, once around the neck, tied in a tight bow to leave the ends longer.
Naturally, the second option is the one worn most often and, as you’ll see in the photos, can add a touch of uniqueness to our outfits.
A third option I considered was tying it to a belt loop. It may seem superfluous, but I actually came up with this solution while creating an outfit where I was having trouble creating a color harmony between the garments and the footwear. At that moment, I thought I could manage to match everything by choosing a bandana in the same color as the sabot I was wearing.
There are certainly many other ways to enhance it, but what’s certain is that to use it, we need a more alternative style, inclined toward extravagance, otherwise it would be too much.
